Privacy Policy
Last updated September 3, 2026
This policy describes the intended data practices for the SelfOwe private-test product. SelfOwe is not yet generally available. This policy will be reviewed and updated before any public release.
Early-access list and contact form
If you join the early-access list, we store your name, email, signup time and optional beta-survey answers to manage early access and understand tester interest. We use Cloudflare-hosted storage. The landing page does not connect to bank accounts or collect bank login details.
If you use the contact form, we store your name, email, topic and message so we can handle your question or request. Please do not send account numbers, passwords or other sensitive financial details. Contact messages and waitlist information are restricted to the SelfOwe administrator.
You can request removal from the waitlist or deletion of your submitted information through the contact form. We may need to verify a request before removing information. Signup does not guarantee beta access.
Information SelfOwe may process
When a tester chooses to connect a financial institution, SelfOwe may receive account names, account types, masked account numbers, balances and transaction information through a financial-data provider. SelfOwe does not receive or store a tester’s bank login credentials.
How information is used
Information is used to display the designated SelfOwe account, identify eligible purchases for review, organize account balances into Sections, maintain Payback goals, detect likely repayments and support product security and troubleshooting.
User control
Users decide whether a purchase creates a Payback goal. Opening a bank application does not mark a payment as paid. A user may disconnect a linked institution and may request deletion of associated SelfOwe data during testing.
Sharing
SelfOwe does not sell personal financial information. Information may be processed by service providers that support account connectivity, hosting, security and product operation, subject to their applicable agreements and privacy practices.
Security and retention
SelfOwe is designed to limit access to authorized users and to protect provider access tokens and stored application data. Test data is retained only as needed to operate and evaluate the product, resolve issues and meet applicable obligations.
Current scope
The private-test version does not hold customer funds, extend credit, issue cards or initiate bank transfers.
